Our bespoke kitchen islands use different materials and surface heights to define three zones which are for cooking, food preparation and a place for dining. Incorporating sinks, fridges, a dishwasher and stove tops into your island will help spread the workflow throughout the kitchen. Built in bookcases, plate racks and open shelving can also be incorporated for additional storage to keep you organised.
If your kitchen lacks proper dining space or you are looking to create more casual bar seating, adding low profile seating to the island or a breakfast bar with an overhanging counter offering enough room to tuck stools underneath will allow the area to be a more sociable place for both the cook and the diner.
